Bitcoin Reclaims $80K Immediately After Peter Schiff Predicted a Crash to $75K

Bitcoin fell to about $79,000, a five-week low and its first dip below $80,000 since Sept. 18, prompting longtime critic Peter Schiff to predict on X that it would drop to $75,000 over the weekend and that ETF investors could not sell until Monday. Bitcoin instead rebounded above $80,000 and briefly touched $81,000, then eased slightly Sunday morning while remaining above that level. Schiff, described as a goldbug, had previously predicted a 2018 fall to $750 and said in 2019 that bitcoin would never reach $50,000. Willy Woo called Schiff a valuable counter-signal, while bitcoin ETF investors have poured more than $55 billion into the products.
