Bitcoin fell to $76,500 and traded at $76,840, down 1.48% or $1,150 on the day, as it tested a support band near $76,000. Earlier this week it dropped below its 50-day simple moving average at $81,942 and the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement level at $80,403, ending a period around $80,000; selling then pushed it into the mid-$76,000s during a Binance hack. The $76,000 area holds three supports within about $125: the 100-day simple moving average at $76,190, the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement at $76,066, and the mid-September low around $76,066. The 14-day relative strength index was 33.07, its lowest since June-July; below $76,066, the 200-day simple moving average at $73,159 is next.
