Bitcoin began November near $76,000, the average cost basis for short-term holders, after a Binance hack drove the price to a six-week low of $76,275 and triggered $1.58 billion in liquidations. The cryptocurrency ended October down 7%. The stolen 18,270 BTC left a Binance hot wallet, and users withdrew about $2 billion in the three hours after withdrawals reopened on November 1, while the attacker’s coins remained across 19 addresses. The short-term holder MVRV ratio stood near 1.02, indicating recent buyers were about 2% in profit and their cost basis was close to $76,000. Holding that level keeps them profitable, while losing it could prompt sales at a loss.
