Ethereum was 55% below its record, Dogecoin 90%, Fartcoin 95%, and the Official Trump and Official Melania meme coins 98% and 99%; the latter two launched around President Donald Trump’s January 2025 inauguration. The S&P 500 closed Friday 3% below its October 6 record, versus the Nasdaq Composite about 8% below its high and the Dow Jones Industrial Average about 4% below its August peak; Bitcoin peaked on October 6, 2025, and a 39% drawdown needs a 64% gain to recover.
