Wallets associated with Arthur Hayes, the former CEO and co-founder of the now-closed BitMEX derivatives exchange, sold about $22.28 million in cryptocurrencies, blockchain data platform Lookonchain reported on Oct. 24, 2026. The largest transaction involved 6,400 ETH worth $15.2 million; the wallets also sold 14 million ENA tokens valued at $2.76 million, 323,000 UNI worth $2.24 million and 1.89 million ETHFI worth $1.23 million. The sales followed Hayes's late-September prediction that Ethereum could reach $10,000 by year-end; he is also Maelstrom's CIO. He has repeatedly bought ETH and then sold portions soon afterward, including a July purchase of more than 7,200 ETH for nearly $14 million at an average price of $1,923.
