API Keys Revoked: Why Binance Just Blocked SignalPlus Connections

After SignalPlus flagged a possible security problem, crypto exchange Binance said it severed every API key tied to the platform on Thursday; such keys let outside software trade without an account password. Binance said its systems and customer funds were untouched, and told SignalPlus users to review positions through Binance and avoid adding keys until SignalPlus declares the issue resolved. Crypto exchange Deribit made the same move that day, stopping trading, monitoring and automation run through SignalPlus on its venue. Founded in 2021, SignalPlus supplies options-trading dashboards for Deribit, Binance, Bybit, OKX and Coincall. The warning came after an October 29 theft of $6.3 billion from Binance hot wallets, which the FBI linked to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group.
