Anthropic filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC for an initial public offering of Class A stock on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT, disclosing about $265.6 billion in cloud computing commitments payable regardless of customer usage. The Claude AI developer’s agreements require payments to Google of $114.5 billion through July 2033, Amazon of $110 billion through April 2036, and Microsoft of $44.9 billion through May 2033. That total is roughly 16 times its $16.3 billion in first-half revenue, which was mostly consumption-based and largely not under long-term contracts. Anthropic reported $131.7 billion in cash and short-term investments at the end of June and warned that a default could trigger cross-default clauses and early debt repayment.
