Another Big Pi Network Update Is Live: Here’s What Pioneers Need to Know

Pi Network’s Core Team released Pi Desktop version 0.6.4 earlier this weekend, adding automatic remote access so Pioneers can use supported SoloHost applications on their computers through the Pi Browser on their phones without opening ports or reconfiguring home routers; remote access remains optional. The version also adds checks before installation and at app startup to confirm an application can access only its own files and network resources, aiming to reduce risks to other files, other apps’ data, or the Pi Node. Version 0.6.3 had arrived in early September, and the network completed its Protocol 28 upgrade on October 16, which is intended to improve handling of delayed transaction data and smart-contract maintenance flexibility.
