Aave resumed lending on V3 and V4 on October 30, 2026, after a Binance breach that caused $6.3 billion in losses. Nine assets—USDT, USDC, USDT0, POL, WAVAX, sAVAX, XAUT, PAXG and OP, plus wrapped and bridged forms—can still be deposited, withdrawn, borrowed and repaid but have zero loan-to-value on V3 and zero collateral factor on V4, preventing their use as collateral for new loans; existing V3 positions retain their liquidation thresholds and health scores. Before Aave froze markets on October 29, a hacker-linked wallet deposited 60 million USDT into Aave V3 Ethereum Core and borrowed about 19,762 WETH then worth roughly $44.6 million. LlamaRisk said the position held $59.9 million in assets against $43.8 million in debt.
