Jim Cramer said the Nasdaq’s recent sell-off could extend, citing U.S. midterm elections, an Iran decision and a jobs report due within days. On Friday, the Nasdaq Composite fell 2.86%, closing at 25,437 and capping a 5.30% loss for October, its worst month since March 2025. Cramer, speaking on CNBC, said newer cloud companies built around data-center capacity could be especially exposed if Congress changes hands, while oil producers and refiners might benefit from an escalation with Iran. He said Trump faces an Iran decision on Wednesday, and the nonfarm payrolls report arrives Friday; September’s report showed a gain of 29,000 jobs.
