Binance resumed withdrawals on Sunday, and within roughly three hours crypto tracker Whale Alert flagged about $2 billion in Bitcoin, Ethereum and dollar-linked stablecoins moving from the exchange to unidentified wallets. The transfers included 10,000 BTC worth about $779 million, nearly $1 billion in Tether, $200 million in USD Coin and 30,000 ETH worth $68 million. Binance had frozen withdrawals after attackers took about $6.3 billion on October 29; it says it now processes all payouts from newly generated wallets added to its proof-of-reserves registry, a public list of wallets it says hold customer funds, and has replaced about 95% of stolen assets. Only phase one, covering 15 networks, is open, while other wallets await security audits.
